Come and have an adventure in the mountains and explore this stunning scenery or escape and relax in a cosy cabin or an apartment in one of Norway’s best kept secrets.
Only a 1.5hr drive from Stavanger through near vertical rock wall valleys, you will arrive at Tjørhomfjellet, 550m above sea level, an idyllic, cosy cabin area built around Tjørhomfjellet, one half of Sirdal Skisenter. Here you will find the new restaurant, Afterski bar and 15 small apartments we will have for rent, right in the heart of Hulderheimen in the Tjørhomfjellet area.
Continue around the corner into a quaint valley overshadowed by Sirdal Skisenter; laden with cabins hidden away in the tree filled mountain sides and riddled with 200km of marked cross-country skiing trails, it is beautiful!
Here, the valley and Skisenters come alive at the weekends and holidays with people retreating to their cabins in the mountains for some fun, family time on the slopes.
Its worth while staying a bit longer to take advantage of the quieter weekdays with no ques and plenty of space to go adventuring or skiing with the whole family.
In the summer we have something for everyone: mountains, moors, forest and wildlife to explore with hikes, plenty of rock climbing areas, lakes to go fishing or swimming and summer opening of the chairlift for mountain biking and mountain top walks.
We are also the gateway to the southern western fjords with the infamous Lysefjorden and Kjeragbolten only 45 mins drive away. A must do sightseeing hike. And within a 3hr drive of us we have it all... Bø sommerland, Kristiansand Zoo, stunning coastline along the archipelago to the spectacular sandy beaches and surfing at Jæren. And of course; Preikistolen, Norways most visited natural phenomenon.
Sirdal Pictures has become a local phenomenon! Father and son Frank and Simen Haughom has an incredible number of followers on Facebook by photographing nature in Sirdal. Simen has also produced several drone movies and Flims from Kjærag have gone around the world and received several tens of million clicks. There is no one better to show you how amazing Sirdal is than those two. Should you wish any of their pictures on the wall so they can fix it too!
